everyone of us is a rebel
whatever we wear
we rebel against the expectations
and decisions of those
Older and "wiser" than us
Sometimes, we are the wiser
And our voice is strong
and loud with our conviction
and knowledge that
we are right
But the leaders of our nations
are too wrapped up in their visions
of violent glory
to hear our song
of peace and love
and see beyond
the mushroom cloud
to the flocks of peaceful doves
released through
our open minds
